A phone assistant for small business
No customer call goes unanswered.
Steadyline answers every call to your business, in the voice of your business, using only what you have told it. You give it a website and your documents. It is on the phone within minutes.
In early access with a small number of businesses. Calls under 15 seconds are never charged. Pricing.
Built for the business that cannot get to the phone
The phone rings while you are on a job, in the workshop, or with a customer standing in front of you. Voicemail does not get returned. The caller rings the next business on the list.
Hiring someone to answer is the right fix at the wrong price. A shared call centre answers knowing nothing about you, which the caller hears immediately.
Typical calls
- Is the walnut cutting board in stock, and does it come in the larger size?
- I ordered last week, order 1042, where is it?
- The board arrived cracked and I want to send it back.
- Can you quote a garden clearance, and when could you come out?
Three things it handles end to end
The calls that take the most time and the least thought.
Inquiry
Hours, prices, what you stock, whether you cover an area, what a job involves, what to bring. Answered from your own material, in your own terms.
Booking
Finding a slot, taking the details, confirming it by text, and moving it when the caller rings back to change it.
Returns and refunds
Checking what was bought, what your policy allows, and starting the return. Refunds inside the limits you set, and escalated when they are not.
How it works
Four steps, and under 15 minutes from signing up to the first live call.
-
You get a number
A new number, or forward the line you already advertise. If forwarding ever stops, you are told, rather than finding out from a customer.
-
You point it at what you already have
Your website and your documents. No forms to fill in. It answers from that material and from nothing else.
-
You set what it may do alone
What it handles by itself, what waits for your approval, and what always goes to a person. You change it whenever you like.
-
You read every call
Transcript, summary, what the caller wanted, how it ended, and anything it did. No guessing what was said on your behalf.
It answers from your material, or it says it does not know
An assistant that invents a price is worse than a voicemail.
What it always does
- Answers from the material you gave it, and nothing else.
- Says plainly when your material does not cover a question, then takes a message or transfers.
- Tells the caller it is an assistant, whenever it is asked.
- Leaves a complete record of the call for you to read.
What it never does
- Invents a price, a policy or an availability.
- Takes a card number over the phone. Payment goes by a link sent by text.
- Makes outbound sales calls. It answers your line, and places a callback only when a caller asked for one.
- Acts outside the limits you set, however reasonable the request sounds.
Answering now, acting next
Today Steadyline answers from your knowledge base and hands over anything it cannot do. That is the whole of what is live, and we would rather say so than imply more.
Next it connects to the systems you already run, so it can look up an order, create a booking, approve a return and issue a refund, inside limits you set.
Where it is up to
Steadyline is in early access with a small number of businesses, chosen because they take very different calls. Signing up is not open to everyone yet. Ask to be included.
United States, English, at launch
Numbers and billing are United States only to begin with. Spanish is the first language added once the English flows are measured.
Let it take the next one.
